Warren says I’m an angel. That may well be, but hey, I have my dark side too, and my weakness is : crime stories. I go through at least two a week, in the silent company of Ellery (who, of course, the minute I open a book leaps up into my lap, as if he wants to read along with me), or sometimes I delve into them on the tram on my way to the office. I like a bit of a dark setting, where private eyes lead eccentric, dangerous lives, and the mental contortions you have to tie yourself up in to work out who the culprit was. I find them liberating!
